I will be placing an adhesive bandage or use saran wrap after your tattoo is complete.

Adhesive Bandage: please leave it on for 3-5 days. The bandage is water resistant so no need to cover it while you shower. Make sure to not submerge the wrap under water.

Saran Wrap: please leave it on until you get home from your appointment. Remove the wrap then process with the aftercare instructions.

When removing the adhesive bandage, please do so under lukewarm water with clean hands.

Gently peel off the bandage parallel to the skin, not away from it.

It’s normal for the some plasma and ink residue to be on the bandage. This is expected and shows the healing process is underway.

Gently wash your tattoo with lukewarm water and with antibacterial soap. I recommend dial gold soap. Do not use scented soap.

Pat dry the area with a clean paper towel or let the tattoo air dry.

Apply a thin layer of moisturizer to your tattoo 2-3 per day. Do not over apply as this will affect the healing process.

-Do not pick or scratch your new tattoo as this will cause scarring and affect the design.

-Keep your tattoo out of direct sunlight during the healing process.

-Avoid wearing tight clothing that may rub against your tattoo.

-Avoid pools and hot tubs for 2-3 weeks.

-Try not to sweat while wearing the adhesive bandage as this can trap the sweat and cause an infection.
